Games, fun, and no injuries at Homecoming 2009!
Homecoming 2009 went off without a hitch as 43 Roadrunner alumni basketballers returned to campus for this festive and fun event. They were joined by legions of family, friends, and fans who enjoyed their antics, their ability, and their dedication to Roadrunner basketball. And it was the Blues all around in 2009.

In the opening contest, it was the Older Men's Blue Team out-lasting the Older Men's Red Team by a score of 59-52. Doug Haworth ('97) was named player-coach for the Blue team this year and so his is the name that will be engraved on the plaque of alumni basketball winners.

The women could not complain about a lack of playing time as they struggled to have any "bench." Come on, ladies - we need more player participation next year!
End result saw the Blue Team out-scoring the Reds by a 44-39 score with player-coach Darcy Willis ('93) the winning coach for the Reds.

In the afternoon's closing contest, the Younger Men's Blue Team, coached by Josh Carter ('99) defeated the Reds by a 70-63 score.

The day ended with post-game festivities at The Phoenix Center in Richland Center where a large number of alumni were on hand to socialize and reminisce. A few former faculty members were on hand, as well, including Garrett Deckert and Floyd Blackmore, among others.
We're looking forward to Homecoming 2010 on Saturday, March 6.
