Homecoming 2011 highlights …What a great day for Roadrunner alumni! With 56 alumni basketball players, 14 alumni coaches, and scores of alumni and friends, the 2011 Homecoming on March 5 was one of the most memorable to date. What’s more, on that same afternoon former Richland County College President and UW-Richland Dean Emeritus Marjorie Wallace was celebrating her 90th birthday in, of all places, the Wallace Student Center on campus. As a result, many alumni got to drop in for a quick visit with this educational living legend. This year the Alumni Association honored former Roadrunner coaches and, as indicated, 14 of them were on hand for the festivities, including:
Of course, there were the basketball games and this year the Red Teams won two of the three contests. Game results: Older Men’s Alumni Game Women’s Alumni Game Younger Men’s Alumni Game Fun, Frolic, and Friends followed at the Phoenix Center.
