Providing the "Margin of Excellence" at UW-Richland
The educational and cultural center of Richland County and the surrounding
area, the University of Wisconsin-Richland receives fewer tax dollars than many
people realize, not enough to meet such critical needs as student scholarships,
faculty and staff development, new equipment, or special cultural programming
to enhance student and community life.
The Richland County Campus Foundation provides the "Margin of Excellence"
by raising funds to meet these needs. Faculty and staff, alumni, corporations,
service organizations, foundations, and friends support the work of the
Foundation. Because the Foundation is staffed largely by volunteers, only a
very small portion of the total Foundation budget is for administrative expense.
The Richland County Campus Foundation supports UW-Richland through:
- The Scholarship Program
- Faculty/Staff Development to assist the people of UW-Richland as they
stay current with new methods and scholarship
- Other programs, which include Quintessence, a Student Emergency Loan
Fund, New Student Orientation, and special lecture and cultural programs
for students and the greater community
- New equipment
- Construction and renovation of UW-Richland facilities.
